Blue Lovebirds Collaboration

Yesterday was the day for making cake topper lovebirds. In February, I was asked to design them but as I never did such birds before it became a block. So I asked my friends - an awesome illustrator Paulina Rodriguez and her sister Alex to help me.

I sewed the birdies, Paulina did the adorable painting and Alex was our Muse ;)

These are the lovelies:

I also made them tiny hats - a black bowler with light-blue ribbon for Mister and a fancy headpiece for Miss(is). The hats are removable, they are attached by long straight pins (a little barbarian way, but I had no choice).
